Abuse of Domestic Violence Laws

THE THREAT TO JEWISH FAMILIES BY ABUSE OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE LAWS

(Note: Although this web site focuses on Jewish family issues, the authors are also aware of and concerned about the common problems being faced by all American families.)

We have provided below links to some enlightening articles and/or videos regarding the abuse of domestic violence laws. (All credit for these articles belongs to their respective authors listed in the documents).

These articles reveal the ugly facts about the abuse of domestic violence laws and resultant destruction of American families, including many Jewish families. These facts are rarely discussed in the religious and non-religious Jewish media, both of which tend to present  predominantly liberal and pro-feminist Jewish viewpoints.

The abuse of “domestic violence” restraining orders (also known as orders of protection, civil protection orders, etc.)  has becoming widespread in the Orthodox Jewish community, although it is rarely discussed in public by rabbinic authorities or by the Jewish media.

Regrettably, “heterim” (permission) to obtain fraudulent restraining orders against husbands are often being provided by corrupt, feminist rabbis in the Orthodox community. After the man’s home, children, and assets are confiscated by the Courts, then the “agunah” organizations move in to rescue the “agunah” and coerce a “Get” from the husband.

Abuse of restraining orders plays a major role in the breakup of many families in the Orthodox Jewish community. Jews who utilize fraudulent or abusive restraining orders may very well have committed the very serious aveirah of m’sirah.

There should be no doubt that battered Jewish religious men exist just as battered Jewish religious women exist.

“All six major studies which have investigated this topic found that women initiate violence in a large proportion of the cases.”
